Among the largest problems for animal shelters nationwide is that some areas are overflowing with dogs that are adoptable while others never have enough. Wings Of Rescue, an outstanding volunteer organization run by committed aviators, flies dogs from shelters overflowing to the ones that can locate them new homes with creatures. Frequently, the dogs they transport would happen to be euthanized hours afterwards if it werent for these pilots.
The organization has saved over 12,000 dogs since 2009, when it was formed. Flights cost about $80 per dog, and it is possible to contribute to their own cause on their web site.
