I understand you need to boo-o-o-ooook a flight to Orlando right this second…
Winifred, Mary, and Sarah Sandersonthe trio of witches played by Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy, and Sarah Jessica Parker, respectively, in Disney‘s 1993 movie Hocus Pocusare coming to the stage in a Walt Disney World Halloween show this autumn.
But before you begin throwing out film quotations and singing Sarah’s creepy bait-children-to-their-passing tune, understand this is not the cut and dry stage adaption of Hocus Pocus that you are likely expecting for.
Instead, the girls in the best Halloween movie of time are just the latest members of the roguish Disney villain lineup that triggers trouble at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom.
The Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular (running Sept. 15 through Nov. 1) finds the Sanderson sisters assembling for a night of mischief in order to throw “the greatest, bad Halloween celebration this side of the graveyard” with the help of Disney villains like Jafar, Maleficent, Oogie Boogie, Hades, Captain Hook, and the girl who skins pups for trend.
The inclusion of the witches will do to foster what is essentially conventional Disney park Halloween cuisine into exciting new land.
And it will not be frightening, so you can choose your small ones without stressing to see it.
