The time of astral disembodiment where the spirit leaves the body was captured by Russian scientist Konstantin Korotkov, who photographed a man at the minute of his departure with a bioelectrographic camera.

The picture shot using the gas discharge visualization system, an advanced technique of Kirlian photography shows in blue the life force of the individual leaving the body slowly.
